Vita

I am a "trained" artist. From 1986 to 1991 I studied painting with Professor Dieter Krämer in Cologne and completed my studies with the master class examination “summa cum laude”.

I was born in Brochterbeck in the Tecklenburger Land, on the edge of the Teutoburg Forest. There I went to elementary school and then switched to the Goethe Gymnasium in Ibbenbüren, where I did my Abitur.

I spent most of my life (33 years) in Cologne. Due to my family situation (husband, 2 sons, now 29 and 31 years old), I temporarily looked for my professional focus outside of art; initially as a specialist lecturer for web programming and design at TÜV Rheinland (until 1999), and then as head of her own online agency "ambaar-artmedia" (until 2011).

2011 was a turning point in my life: I found my new home in Aachen and brought art back to myself. Since then I have been working in my wonderful “AMBA” studio and I am very happy that painting is once again part of my daily work.
